Glenrock Station sold to Chinese buyers for $45 million
ONE of the largest grazing farms in the Upper Hunter has been sold to Chinese buyers for $45 million.
Glenrock Station, alongside James Packer’s Ellerston homestead, outside Scone, was quietly placed on the market by financiers in 2013.
The 30,000-hectare property deal exchanged on Friday with a Chinese buyer.
Under new laws introduced on March 1, the sale will be assessed by the Foreign Investment Review Board.
Glenrock was last purchased in 2005 by Phil Green and Tricom brokerage firm founder Lance Rosenberg in a syndicate which paid $23 million.
