The funny part is, it was all a joke (a good one too). It wasn't a serious comment and no harm was meant in it at ALL. Then, some fool hears the joke, gets pretty pissed and decides to put research and time into making a video that has no point whatsoever. Even furthermore, the guy wanted his video put up in times square. You can't get anymore pathetic than that.
+Potaters12 Well since you realize that the U.S. is in debt why don't you do something about it instead of laughing at the joke a child came up with.
Congratulations on a well thought out and positive rebuttal. This is, in my opinion, well done and relevant. It achieves it's end without lowering itself. That being said I doubt the Kimmel show intended any offence. I think the reason they thought it was funny is in the ridiculousness of the statement made by a young child. Not because they wanted to encourage any animosity towards the Chinese. I believe the world will be a friendlier place by laughing at ourselves and not taking things too seriously.
The problem is not that it's "just" a joke, the problem is that it's an improper joke. You don't make joke that offends people, even if you don't feel offended just because you are not involved in that joke. Kids know nothing, but the show is not produced by uneducated kids. Just stop avoiding the point and recognize your wrong doings, if, you know, you think you are a civilized person.
Was and is there discrimination against Americans? Sure there is plenty starting from the late Chinese leader Mao who incited the Chinese people to hate America by proclaiming that America is bent on destroying China, to a very recent (2011) proclamation by Mao's followers that the entire American population must be wiped out with nuclear weapons. Enough Already, Americans, wake up to the "real" Chinese threat.

First of all its chairman Mao okay, have some respect. Second, why would he do that if the Americans didn't do something wrong in the first place?
@McRaeTube, It's not China that Kimmel and ABC are afraid of - Rather, it's the 3.8 million Chinese Americans(2010 Census data) they could not afford to offend. A couple days ago, there is news that a Chinese firm is buying a Texas-based aircraft company, and that company is a state owned "Government Controlled" real estate conglomerate in China.
