Food Colouring Tainting a Chinese River Red, Maybe, or Maybe not

July 26, 2014> Weird or Wot!  Chinese villagers baffled after river in Wenzhou mysteriously turned red overnight.Red River: China baffled as river suddenly turns colour of blood overnight.Locals in Xinmeizhou village, Zhejiang province, said everything looked normal at 5am but within just a few minutes the water had turned crimson. Some filled clear plastic bottles with the liquid and reported it had a strange smell. It was reported there is a food dye plant on the same river. An environmental expert taking samples at the scene said: 'We suspect maybe somebody drove here to dump stuff'.
