Elisa Lam the horror movie

Elisa Lam's tragic death to be exploited in horror movie

Elisa Lam's real life was not a horror movie...

Elisa LamElisa Lam
Do you remember Elisa Lam? She was the Canadian tourist who vanished while visiting Los Angeles by herself several months ago. Her disappearance was eerie enough, but most mysterious was her strange death. Her body was discovered atop the Cecil Motel in a water tank a few weeks after footage of her was found on motel surveillance acting strangely in an elevator (watch above). Some believe that she was under the influence of drugs. A few others believe she was somehow fearful of a potential captor or someone who wanted to do harm to her. However, an even smaller group of people seem to believe that the paranormal is behind Lam's death. Famous attention-whore Tila Tequila is one of those people who believe that, actually.
Now it's being revealed that a movie is being made that sensationalizes the idea that spooky-dooky ghosts had something to do with Lam's death. The screenplay titled "The Bringing" is said to be "based on" Elisa Lam's case. To be honest it seems like the whole idea is in rather poor taste.
Keep in mind that Elisa Lam's death was ruled accidental, likely brought on by her reported intense mental illness. The footage of her in an elevator shortly before her death depicts a woman having a mental episode -- going through a number of motions that indicate her vulnerability. It's a sad and tragic case, and now it's been made more tragic. Her memory will now be tied to nothing more than an exploitive horror flick.
