This Chinese airline has some
startlingly racist advice
for visitors to London
China’s flagship airline Air China has some rather surprising tips for travellers to London – all about the dangers posed by different races in the capital.
The highly offensive advice appeared in the inflight magazine Wings of China, published by Air China – under the heading, ‘Tips from Air China’,CNBC reports.
The magazine said, ‘London is generally a safe place to travel, however precautions are needed when entering areas mainly populated by Indians,Pakistanis and black people.
‘We advise tourists not to go out alone at night, and females always to be accompanied by another person when traveling.’

The advice was part of a long feature on visiting London.
Chinese companies have a history of ‘racist’ statements – many of which the companies appear not to have realised were offensive.
Earlier this year Shanghai Leishang Cosmetics went viral around the world after an advert for its Qiaobi detergent showed a young black man being washed in an industrial washing machine and coming out as a Chinese man.
Britain is an increasingly popular destination for Chinese visitors – with more than 270,000 visiting in 2015, up 46% on 2014, according to Visit Britain.
