Born as a Thai, China is Dhanin Chearavanont's ancestral homeland, he inherited his fathers buisness

 Dhanin Chearavanont was born in Thailand 1939, and Guangdong, China is his ancestral homeland. He joined Charoen Pokphand Group in 1964, served as president in 1970, and appointed being the Chairman of the group in 1989.
Under the leadership of Mr. Dhanin  Chearavanont, Charoen Pokphand Group involves over 100,000 employees and can be found in over 20 countries and regions with the annual sales volume more than 10,000,000,000 US dollars.

In September 2003, the US Fortune Magazine listed Mr. Dhanin  Chearavanont, Chairman of the Chia Tai Group, among top 50 business leaders that have the greatest influence in the world.
In August 2004, the Fortune Magazine ranked Mr. Dhanin  Chearavanont among top 25 businessmen that have the greatest influence in Asia.
In January 2008, China Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs Association (COCEA) was found; Mr. Dhanin  Chearavanont named the president of COCEA.
In November 2008, Mr. Dhanin  Chearavanont honored as Multinational Enterprise Outstanding Leader.
In December 2008, Mr. Dhanin  Chearavanont ranked 100 People China Economic.
In June 2009, Mr. Dhanin  Chearavanont listed Promoting the Development of Feed Industry Ten Meritorious Person
In September 2010, Forbes magazine published Thailand's billionaires, Chairman Dhanin Chearavanont became Thailand's richest man by about 7 billion dollars worth of personal assets
In September 2011, Chairman Dhanin Chearavanont was named as Thailand's richest man by Forbes magazine againIn March 2012, Chairman Dhanin Chearavanont was named as “2012 outstanding people of life achievement award” by Asia news channel.

Mr. Dhanin  Chearavanont used to serve as consultant of the Royal Thai Government and the Parliament Committee on Agriculture, consultant of Dean of Thai State Department, consultant of minister of Foreign Ministry on Economics, consultant of minister of Finance Ministry, congressman of National Legislative Assembly, congressman of House of Lords, vice-president of National Economic and Legal Adjustment Union. Mr. Dhanin  Chearavanont also honored the Chulalongkorn Medal by the king of Thailand, the Grand Cordon Medal, the Crown Medal and the first-class White Elephant Medal for his great achievements as well as honorary doctorates from many famous Thai universities. Mr. Dhanin  Chearavanont made outstanding contributions for the development of Thai with years.

Over the past two decades, Mr. Dhanin  Chearavanont has committed to the development of Chia Tai Group and promoted friendship between China and Thai. Chia Tai (Charoen Pokphand) Group was the first multinational company to invest in China. Its business involves in Argo-Food, retailing, finance, real estate, machinery manufacturing, pharmacy and other areas with over 4,600,000,000 US dollars investment and 80,000 employees in China. Mr. Dhanin  Chearavanont has appointed as the vice-president of Thai-Chinese Friendship Association, member of the Hong Kong Reunification of the Preparatory Committee, and awarded honorary degrees of professor (honorary doctorate and researcher) by Tongji University, China Agricultural University, Fudan University and China Agricultural Academy.

Mr. Dhanin  Chearavanont has a special affection for China. The Chearavanont’s is very supportive of hometown construction and donated more than RMB100, 000,000 to education, public welfares, health care and poverty-disaster relief.
In view of Mr. Dhanin  Chearavanont’s great achievements and contributions, Shenyang City, Fuzhou City, Ningbo City, Shantou City and Chenghu City has awarded him Honorary Citizen. Shanghai City, Wuhan City and Shaanxi province invited Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont as government advisor.
