China launches four
more satellites

- China launched four satellites on 7 October, bringing the total number deployed over the past four weeks to 31

A Long March-2D rocket launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre on 7 October placed 4 satellites in orbit, bringing the number of Chinese satellites deployed over the last four weeks to 31.
Xinhua news agency reported that the latest satellites are for commercial remote-sensing services, comprising a high-definition multi-spectral imaging satellite, two for video imaging and the fourth for "imaging technique testing".
All four of the satellites have been built by the Chang Guang Satellite Technology Company, which has been underwritten by the Jilin provincial government.
