Chinese Embassy in Canada hosts reception for the 84th anniversary of the People's Liberation Army |
2011/08/11 why Canada? |
Mr. Xu marked the 84th anniversary of the PLA and expressed his appreciation for all in Canada that has contributed to the growth of China-Canada relationship over the years. Mr. Xu spoke highly of Senior Colonel Cai’s work during his eight-year tenure in Canada and welcomed Senior Colonel Li to his new post. Senior Colonel Cai briefed the guests about China’s defense policy, PLA’s history and mission in the new century, stressing that China is committed to deepening mutual trust and expanding common interest with other countries through security cooperation and that China has all along delivered on its own international responsibilities and obligations. Senior Colonel Cai thanked his friends in Canada for their generous support and hoped that they will continue to assist Senior Colonel Li and play an active role in strengthening China-Canada relationship and military exchanges. Senior Colonel Li expressed his willingness to work with his Canadian friends and colleagues to further promote the exchange and cooperation between the two countries and the Chinese and Canadian forces. The guests offered their warm congratulations on the anniversary of PLA’s founding and attended a photo exhibit on PLA’s history, military exchange as well as its participation in UN peacekeeping operations and post-disaster relief. |
Keeping an eye on Communist, Totalitarian China, and its influence both globally, and we as Canadians. I have come to the opinion that we are rarely privy to truth regarding the real goal, the agenda of China, it's ambitions for Canada [including special focus on the UK, US & Australia]. No more can we trust the legacy media as there appears to be increasing censorship applied to the topic of communist China. I ask why. Here is what I find.
