This chart shows where the world's most crowded cities will be in 2025

Prepare to sharpen those elbows if you live in one of the world’s most crowded cities, because things are only going to get worse.
Bloomberg analysed population growth estimates over a thirty year period between 1995 - 2025. The data shows that as the world’s population continues to grown exponentially, our cities are going to feel correspondingly claustrophobic, as this chart from Statistademonstrates.
overpopulation
Hong Kong, already heaving, is likely to keep its top spot as the world’s most crowded megacity as its population per square mile bursts from 57,965 to 76,985.
Several cities in Brazil and Mexico are set for a population explosion - Brasilia is expected to grow 188.6 per cent from 8,682 people per square mile in 1995 to 18,974 in 2025, and the Saudi Arabian capital of Jeddah, home to economic migrants from all over the world, is expected to experience an explosion of 137.4 per cent.
Quite the squeeze.
