This Chinese father needs to be punished encouraging his son to throw a puppy in a ditch!
Aheartbreaking and disturbing footage that depicts the sad reality of animal welfare in China has been published on LiveLeak. The footage perfectly illustrates why the implementation of animal protection laws in China should constitute a top priority for every high-level official in Beijing and shows the mentality of many Chinese when it comes to animals (and dogs in particular).
The video was filmed in a rural part of China and shows how a heartless father encourages his son to mistreated a defenseless puppy; the boy picks up the pup and smashes the tiny creature against the tarmac; the puppy squeaks in pain, begging to be left alone, but the father has other ideas. The boy picks up the puppy yet again and, at his father’s indications, throws him in a ditch. Meanwhile, another puppy emerges and the boy doesn’t miss the opportunity to chase the creature around, before grabbing him by the tail and throwing him to the ground. During all this time, the father films everything and even can be heard laughing at one point. Just imagine what kind of education this boy is bound to receive from such parents – he will grow up believing that it’s absolutely normal to mistreat animals (even his father encouraged him to do so, right?)
Sadly, because there are no animal welfare laws in China, the father will never be held accountable for all the pain he has caused to these puppies (I have no updated on their condition, unfortunately).
Please support my petition and demand the implementation of the much-needed animal protection laws in China. Such types of abuses take place every day and perpetrators are never brought to justice; millions of dogs and cats are cooked for their meat and this despicable trade is every bit legal. It’s time to confer the animals protection and make China a better place for them!
