Australian policy 'modulated' by Chinese political donations: analyst

In the wake of Senator Dastyari's resignation from the Opposition frontbench, one of Australia's top strategic analysts has concerns that Australian policy on China has been modulated to suit Beijing, even if there is no direct evidence that Chinese money is influencing political decisions. Peter Jennings, the executive director of the Australian Strategic Policy Institute, says there is no doubt that the Chinese Government is interested in using its 'diaspora communities' to lobby on behalf of Chinese interests.
