ALL OK IF TRUDEAU WINS?

Article content

The more Justin Trudeau plays down the seriousness of China’s election interference, including announcing there will be no public inquiry into it, the more he looks like he is trying to hide something.

Trudeau has denied CSIS warned his government that China intended to meddle in the 2019 election. He has said foreign interference did not change the end result of the last election in 2021. Does that mean, as long as the result is in his favour, it is acceptable?

Obviously fed up with Trudeau’s lack of concern, CSIS has bravely named a Liberal MP who apparently was helped by China. If we are to avoid China’s interference in future elections, then the RCMP should be conducting a criminal investigation to determine if any candidates illegally received either financial or in kind donations from Communist China last election.

(A neutral public inquiry of some sort is definitely called for.)

FOCUS ON THE POSITIVES

Racism. It is a nasty word, it is divisive and destructive. There are those who use this word just to create unrest in our society.

Actually, we are less racist today than we have ever been. Look around and see for yourself. Why don’t we celebrate the progress we have made and concentrate on how we will move forward in the future, putting aside the negativity?

What would help is if the prime minister stopped using racist rhetoric and labelling.

NOT ONE JUDGE, BUT THREE

Who should be appointed to review the Emergencies Act implementation?

Article content

Answer: one government judge, one opposition judge and one family court judge.

And the cost?

What’s another million or so in a multimillion-dollar inquest into the Emergencies Re-Action?

EV PROBLEMS AHEAD?

So, this EV thing might not work out quite as well as the quasi-committed had hoped. As EV evangelism has gripped the world, CBC recently reported on the environmental pitfalls of the massive lithium mining required to support personal transportation.

As such, it’s suggested that public transportation will have to play a far greater role in the future. Now perhaps in Ottawa your LRT is much more efficient than ours in Edmonton, but out here, in the winter, we’re not going to be jumping on the malfunctioning mass transit bandwagon any time soon.
