McAdam found bribery, corruption and fraud at Canada’s consulate in Hong Kong
Foreign Affairs whistleblower Brian McAdam says most whistleblowers feel they don’t have a choice about blowing the whistle on wrongdoing. Their moral code compels them to do it.

No choice: Brian McAdam, now 72, is one of Canada’s best-known whistleblowers. When he began writing his reports about the Canadian consulate in Hong Kong, a contact he had in local anti-corruption law enforcement warned him it would be the end of his career. ‘Unfortunately he was correct,’ he said.
