Trudeau caught in secrecy over Chinese Military [PLA] exercises in Canada

UPDATE: Trudeau ADMITS keeping a huge and dangerous secret when pressed about winter warfare training of Chinese military [REALLY DID HAPPEN]
Yesterday we published a bombshell document: 34 pages of military secrets detailing how the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) have been training with China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA).
You can see for yourself at TheChinaFiles.com. What’s so amazing about these files is that instead of national secrets being blacked out by military censors, they were just greyed out — so they’re completely legible.
(Maybe a whistleblower gave it to us on purpose to raise the alarm about Trudeau’s misconduct.)
The documents show that Trudeau conducted 18 different military projects with China in 2019. We were training the enemy.
But then the CAF wanted to cancel a winter warfare training session for the PLA, scheduled for CFB Petawawa in Ontario, warning that it risked a “knowledge transfer” to the Chinese. This enraged Trudeau, who ordered the CAF not to cancel any more training sessions for the PLA without his permission.
In Question Period today, Trudeau’s defence minister, Harjit Sajjan, tried to take credit for cancelling that session, bizarrely blaming it on Stephen Harper. (That’s a lie, of course — the China Files clearly show the Liberals did everything to keep PLA training on track.)
But just minutes ago we learned of a shocking development: Trudeau’s spokesman admitted to Joe Warmington of the Toronto Sun that, in fact, a PLA division visited Canada in February of 2018 for winter training. You can click here to read it in the Toronto Sun. (Good for them for pursuing this story!’It's hard to believe, but a Canadian prime minister really did teah Chinese troops our winter warfare secrets — and kept it hidden from Canadians.)
I note that, so far, the CBC hasn’t said a word about the China Files. Makes sense — they’re Trudeau’s state broadcaster. Just like China’s state broadcaster Xinhua, they only report what their master tells them.
Canada’s Trudeau invited PLA
for winter exercises: report
joint maneuvers in 2019
Imagine this, for a moment …
China’s People’s Liberation Army, the mighty PLA, the same military force that Pentagon officials have demonized as part of a larger movement to take over the world as we know it, carrying out military winter exercises, with the Canadian Armed Forces.
As bizarre as that may seem, and according to top-secret documents, it almost happened.
In fact, according to a report in The Globe and Mail, the Department of Global Affairs pushed back against a decision last year by Canada’s top soldier to cut back on interactions with the PLA, warning Beijing might consider this a reprisal for the arbitrary arrest of two Canadians.
Government documents, seen by The Globe and marked secret and for Canadian Eyes Only, show that officials at the highest levels of Global Affairs were alarmed that General Jonathan Vance, Chief of the Defence Staff, had cancelled winter military exercises with the PLA in 2019.
Understandably, the United States raised concerns about joint military exercises that could benefit the PLA, according to the documents.
“Should Canada make any significant reductions in its military engagement with China, China will likely read this as a retaliatory move related to the Meng Wanzhou case,” a February, 2019, memo to Ian Shugart, then deputy minister of Foreign Affairs, outlining the case for a letter he would be sending to Jody Thomas, deputy minister of the Department of National Defence, The Globe reported.
A senior government official said General Vance, on the urgings of the US, cancelled winter exercises with the PLA and later all military interactions.
According to a Canadian Conservative news outlet Rebel News, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau raged at the Canadian Armed Forces for cancelling the training mission after China arrested the “Two Michaels,” The Globe reported.
Vance did allow Canadian Armed Forces personnel to compete at the 2019 Military World Games held in Wuhan, China, that October. The Globe is not identifying the source, who was not authorized to speak publicly about national security issues.
Shugart is now Clerk of the Privy Council, the country’s top bureaucrat, who reports directly to Trudeau. The memo was written just months after Canada-China relations went into a tailspin.
Beijing had locked up two Canadians, former diplomat Michael Kovrig and entrepreneur Michael Spavor, in apparent retribution for Ottawa’s arrest of Wanzhou, chief financial officer at flagship Chinese tech firm Huawei Technologies, in December, 2018. Canada had been acting on a US extradition request.
The documents were released through access-to-information law, although the department of Global Affairs later said they had not been adequately censored before release due to human error, The Globe reported.
Alexandre Drago, Global Affairs’ access-to-information director, asked The Globe and Mail not to report from the unexpurgated documents, saying they contain “confidential and secret classified information that should not have been released outside of government” and information that is “injurious to Canada’s national security, national defence and international relations,” as well as to individuals.
The senior government official said General Vance allowed Canadian Armed Forces personnel to compete at the 2019 Military World Games when there were no objections from Canada’s allies in the Five Eyes intelligence sharing group: Australia, Britain, the US and New Zealand, The Globe reported.
According to the memo to Shugart, the Pentagon had already pressed the Canadian Armed Forces to rethink interactions with the PLA.
By the time it was written, the Canadian military had elected to cancel Chinese participation in winter survival training at CFB Petawawa. It was to have included six to eight PLA members.
According to Rebel News, those include training Chinese commanders at the Canadian Forces College in Toronto, as well as other military facilities in Kingston. Chinese military participants included 1- and 2-star generals and an entire contingent who would learn Canadian cold weather military tactics.
“The CAF’s decision to cancel the cold weather training panicked Trudeau, who demanded that Canada’s military not cancel any more engagements with the PLA without explicit permission first, and that the news of the cancellation had to be told to the PLA gently, to let them save face,” Rebel News reported. What!
The memo described it as a decision taken “unilaterally” by the Canadian military, apparently meaning the Forces did not consult Global Affairs first, The Globe reported.
“We understand that [this cancellation] was driven principally by concerns voiced by the US that the training could result in unintended and undesired knowledge transfer to the PLA,” the memo said.
“Unilateral decisions to postpone and/or cancel previously agreed DND/CAF co-operation with the PLA risk being interpreted by China or others in an unintended (and unhelpful) way. [This] could also damage Canada’s long-term defence and security relationship with China,” the memo to Shugart said.
According to Rebel News, “The China Files show that Trudeau’s submissive approach to China isn’t just his personal obsession — it’s the official policy of his entire government and it has deeply infected Canada’s civil service.”
Such a policy toward China, will no doubt raise alarm bells in the Pentagon and the new Biden administration.
In A Sane World, Trudeau Wanting Communist China’s Troops On Canadian Soil Would Be The End Of His Political Career
WINNIPEG, MANITOBA ~~~~~~ December 9, 2020 (LSN)
But as we have seen, we don’t live in a sane world.
Today, we learned from reports by Rebel News that Justin Trudeau’s Global Affairs Department opposed a decision by the Canadian Armed Forces to cancel a program that would have brought Communist Chinese troops to Canadian soil to learn about winter warfare: Kenora, Rainy River, Dryden, Thunder Bay, Terrace Bay Marathon, Sault Ste Marie, Sudbury, North Bay, Ontario
“Justin Trudeau invited China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) to send its troops for cold weather training at CFB Petawawa in Ontario — and Trudeau raged at the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) for cancelling the training after China kidnapped Canadian citizens Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig.”
Think about that for a moment:
Justin Trudeau OPPOSED the Canadian Military, when the military was trying to stop China – a clear opponent of Canada’s values, a nation that is running concentration camps, has kidnapped Canadian Citizens, and is trying to infiltrate our society and our allies to tear apart democracy – from sending their troops to our soil to learn about war tactics.
Every Canadian should be horrified and outraged by this.
Keep in mind, as Trudeau constantly shows pathetic weakness towards China, he’s been lecturing India, just as he has previously lectured the United States.
As I noted on Twitter, Trudeau’s subservience toward China can’t be explained by China’s size:
“Some people try to excuse Trudeau’s subservience towards China as being due to China’s size. Of course, that doesn’t explain why he is so willing to lecture our democratic allies like the US and India. No, this is something different. Trudeau’s admiration for the CCP is real.”
As Marc Patrone noted on Twitter, imagine how India feels hearing this, after their troops were killed by China’s troops in cold-weather combat:
“Did Trudeau’s insistence we train Chinese troops for cold weather fighting cost the lives of Indian troops in the recent border clashes between those two countries?”
Clearly, Trudeau is acting as a tool for the Chinese Communist Party:
“Justin Trudeau tries to invite Communist China’s troops to Canadian soil, while lecturing India. At this point, there is zero doubt that Trudeau is against our allies and against Canada’s historic values, and acts as a tool for the Chinese Communist Party.”
In a sane world, Trudeau would have to resign in disgrace over this.
If things weren’t going crazy in the world, Justin Trudeau would already have had to resign in disgrace.
Inviting troops from a hostile nation to learn winter combat in Canada is completely anti-Canadian.
Canada’s allies in other democracies must be watching this with horror and outrage.
How can they trust us?
How can they trust Trudeau?
Trudeau’s subservience to China puts our alliances at risk, puts our security at risk, and could leave Canada completely isolated at a time when the world is getting more divided and more dangerous.
Canada needs a PM who serves our country, not China.

'Top secret' government documents have revealed that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invited China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) to send its troops to Ontario for cold weather training and was unhappy when it was canceled, according to two Canadian media outlets.
The Canadian government's bombshell secret 34-page file was obtained by Rebel News and The Globe and Mail.
The two outlets published excerpts from the files Wednesday, revealing that members of the PLA were scheduled to attend a military exercise at a base in Ontario in 2019.
According to the memos, the training was then canceled by Chief of Defense Staff Jonathan Vance due to concerns that China could use the trip to obtain information from Canada.
But Trudeau was displeased about the cancelation, because he thought it would look like retaliation over China's detention of two Canadian nationals, and insisted Chinese officials be let down gently, the memos show.
Ezra Levant, founder of conservative news site Rebel News, claimed Thursday the PLA was sending spies not just soldiers to Canada through the partnership.
The plans for the joint military exercise came as tensions were boiling between the two nations, months after Canada arrested Huawei executive Meng Wanzou and China hit back arresting Michael Spavor and Michael Kovrig.
The release of the files comes on the two-year anniversary of Spavor and Kovrig's arrests as the two remain behind bars in Beijing.

The bombshell 34-page access to information document was released by the Canadian government to Rebel News and The Globe and Mail, presumably by mistake
Levant told Tucker Carlson Thursday night that the cold weather training at Ontario is just one example of an expansive partnership between Canada and the PLA.
The two nations were engaged in 18 different joint projects in 2019, he said, including troops being sent between the countries and Canada providing training to high-ranking Chinese generals.
'It is a shock to Canadians,' Levant said. 'That cold-weather warfare you are referring to is just one of 18 different joint projects the Canadian armed forces had with the People's Liberation Army in 2019 alone.
'Canada is training one and two start Chinese generals in our war colleges, training lieutenants and majors, commanders.
Levant said he believes China has been sending spies to Canada through the various projects.
'We're sending Canadians over to China, we're bringing Chinese - I think they are not just soldiers I think they're spies, as well - to Canada, and I don't know a single person in this country knew about it,' he said.
Levant said it was likely either a mistake by the Canadian government to release the documents or the work of a whistleblower wanting to expose the relationship.
'But it's been happening, and we found out about it really by accident when the government sent me freedom of information documents and forgot to black them out, or frankly someone inside the government wanted to blow the whistle on this incredibly upside down relationship,' he said.

While Trudeau was trying to keep on side with China, he was also bashing Donald Trump, Levant said of the memos.
'In those same memos you're talking about, Trudeau's office was supporting China and condemning the Trump administration,' he said.
'It was upside down, inverted morality - it's seeping all the way into our bureaucracy, our diplomacy and they are trying to get the military on side, too.'
The memos also reveal that America warned Canada about the risks of engaging in the training with China but the concerns were ignored, said Levant.
He raised concerns that the training could be used to gather intelligence on Canada and learn its military techniques in order to use them against the country down the line.
'In these memos, you can see the Trump administration warned Canada that this winter warfare training would transfer knowledge to China that could be used,' he said.
'Now, they don't explain, would it be used to take on Uighurs in chin Jang, Tibetans to fight India in the Himalayas , or even to fight us?
'And when the military, the Canadian military, said our American allies, or our allies are concerned about this, Trudeau staff pushed back and said, is this just the Trump administration, or is anyone else worried about it?'
Levant said the documents show 'an antipathy toward America' from Trudeau while he wants to 'let China's President XI Jinping save face'.

Ezra Levant, founder of conservative news site Rebel News, claimed Thursday on Fox the PLA was sending spies not just soldiers to the training camp

According to the memos, the training was canceled by Chief of Defense Staff Jonathan Vance due to concerns that China could use the trip to obtain information from Canada. But Trudeau was displeased about the cancelation
The smoking gun files released this week reveal that General Vance decided to cancel the winter military exercises with the PLA in January 2019.
The move came after China arrested Spavor and Kovrig in December 2018.
But, the files show that Canada's global affairs department including a top aide to Trudeau pushed back against the decision, concerned that China would see it as payback over the arrests.
'Should Canada make any significant reductions in its military engagement with China, China will likely read this as a retaliatory move related to the Meng Wanzhou case,' the February 2019 memo read, according to Rebel News.
The memo was sent to then deputy minister of foreign affairs Ian Shugart, now Canada's top bureaucrat, outlining the case for a letter for him to send on to the deputy defense minister.

The plans for the joint military exercise came as tensions were boiling between the two nations after China arrested Michael Spavor (left) and Michael Kovrig (right). The release of the files comes on the two-year anniversary of Spavor and Kovrig's arrests as the two remain behind bars in Beijing

Their arrests came days after Canada arrested Huawei executive Meng Wanzou (above)
'Canada does not want to be the partner that is reducing normal bilateral interactions,' the letter read.
'Given the heightened scrutiny, any decision by Canada to reduce/cut ties should be carefully considered to avoid sending any unhelpful or unintended messages.'
Former Canadian diplomat Kovrig and businessman Spavor were arrested by China on December 10 2018.
This came just days after Canada detained Wanzhou, the daughter of the founder of Huawei.
Chinese prosecutors announced earlier this year that Kovrig had been charged with spying for state secrets and intelligence and Spavor for spying for a foreign entity and illegally providing state secrets.
No further details have been released about their cases.
Two years on, the two Canadians are still behind bars with the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs saying Thursday they had been 'arrested, indicted and tried'.
However Canada's Global Affairs Department later said the men had not gone on trial.
