Joe Biden hasn't just handed over billions of dollars worth of military equipment to the Taliban; he also gifted China some considerable assets too.

The move would send a clear message that China is now gaining ground on the U.S. as it increases its military might.

But the Chinese government is denying the reports, despite calling the Afghanistan withdrawal a “humiliating defeat” for the U.S., according to U.S. News and World Report.

“I can tell you this is purely fake news,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said Tuesday.

“China benefits immensely” from the U.S. exit from Afghanistan, said Marco Rimanelli, a professor of political science and international security at Saint Leo University in Florida.

“By expanding the Belt and Road Initiative, the Chinese are using a form of predatory capitalism by making nations completely dependent on China,” Rimanelli told The Daily Signal.

“Once a country is unable to pay back its debts, China tries to extract political concessions.”

China has already used the U.S. defeat in Afghanistan to launch a propaganda campaign

Beijing has already given $31 million in humanitarian aid to Afghanistan as a result of cozying up to the Taliban.

The abandoned equipment could provide China with insights into U.S. capabilities and give them a massive advantage over the country.

Donald Trump called for "unequivocal military force” against the Taliban if they refused to give back the weaponry.

Trump asserted that the U.S should “at least bomb the hell out of” the Taliban's equipment to prevent them from using it.

Trump said in a statement:

“Never in history has a withdrawal from war been handled so badly or incompetently as the Biden Administration’s withdrawal from Afghanistan."

“In addition to the obvious, ALL EQUIPMENT should be demanded to be immediately returned to the United States, and that includes every penny of the $85 billion dollars in cost.”
