Chinese in Australia saving face reacting against anti-Chinese sentiments- a petition

Chinese in Australia saving face reacting against anti-Chinese sentiments- a petition

#UnityOverFear during Covid-19

On 8 April, 16 prominent Asian Australians released an open letter calling for national unity during the corona pandemic. Now is the time for all Australians to get behind and involved in this initiative.
As we confront the COVID-19 pandemic, national unity across business and society is critical to our defence and recovery.
The recent rise of racial abuse and vilification of Asian Australians poses a threat to that unity.
We stand for reasonable debate and the promotion of social cohesion at a time of crisis. This petition will be sent to the Prime Minister, the Opposition Leader and all members of Parliament for tabling in Parliament as a clear message that Australians are united against racism during the Corona Pandemic.
To allow abuse of any group to occur jeopardises our social cohesion at a time when we need it most. This is a time for all of us to come together. Add your name to stand in solidarity with the Asian community in Australia and send a clear message that you choose #UnityOverFear
Signatories to our original letter include:
