Horror as child (6) dies after teacher 'seals her mouth shut with tape and glue' for talking too much
A father claimed his daughter has suffocated to death after her teacher sealed her mouth with tape and glue as a punishment for talking too much.
The girl named Guo Jintong, died 40 minutes after her mouth was allegedly taped shut.
According to witnesses at the school in Huadian City, China, Juntong was chatty while the class did their morning stretches and aerobics.
It's alleged that her teacher decided to tape her mouth closed to keep the little girl quiet.
A witness, who was not named, claimed tape and possibly glue were used to keep her mouth shut, effectively "smothering" her to death.
While her mouth was gagged, it is said that Juntong continued to jump with the rest of her class.
However, teachers soon realised the girl was twitching and brought her to the nurse.
The nurse immediately called for an ambulance upon seeing the girl's condition.
The child was later taken to hospital, but doctors said resuscitation had failed and they were “unable to bring her back”.
The nursery school has yet to release a statement about the incident.
China News reported that the teacher has been suspended.
Government officials have confirmed the case and said they are investigating with local police.
Jintong's parents have taken to the Chinese social media site Weibo to demand answers.
Meanwhile, a candlelight vigil has been established outside the school.
