Dog-drawn carriages – the latest cruelty in China! Take Action Now!

The new preferred transportation method for more and more Chinese people seems to be dog-drawn carriages. As the above photo perfectly illustrates, a helpless dog is tied up to the carriage as the owner whips the animal repeatedly, urging it to move quicker, as several amused passers-by leer in the background. The owner seems to be enjoying his new ‘ride’ very much and does not care at all about the state of the dog.

This despicable transportation method seems to have been introduced in the rural areas of Shandong province, but has quickly spread in cities all over China.

Owners would whip the dogs several times in an attempt to make them go faster. This is, without question, cruel and unacceptable.

Dogs should not be forced to pull people around under any circumstances. This is not their purpose on this Planet! It’s totally unnatural for them to do it.

We, the undersigned, hereby urge authorities to ban  the pracrise of carriages drawn by dogs in pain and implement animal protection laws to put an end to the diabolical cruel mistreatment and blatant neglect of animals in China. These voiceless souls should have just as much consideration and respect as we do.
